The former unified world champion returned to the ring with a 39-second destruction of Canada’s Phil Lo Greco in April, and he will face another tune-up in September.
Khan’s new promoter Eddie Hearn made clear when he announced the signing that the plan for the 31-year-old was to return with two fights after his two-year absence, and then target big names.

By far the two biggest names on Vargas’ record are Danny Garcia and Errol Spence, both of whom stopped him in under seven rounds.
